Biolan Self-Watering Box – Effortless Plant Care

The Biolan Self-Watering Box is the ideal accessory for grow bag cultivation, such as the Biolan Grow Bag or the Biolan Herb Sac. Designed to provide hassle-free plant care, it ensures optimal hydration by delivering water to the growing medium through capillary action, meeting the plants’ needs without overwatering.

  • Capillary Watering System: The box acts as a water reservoir from which water is absorbed directly into the substrate as the plants need it, ensuring balanced moisture.
  • Sufficient Water Storage: With a 33-liter water capacity, it provides mature tomato plants with enough water for at least a week, and smaller plants can benefit from even longer intervals.
  • Extended Plant Hydration: Perfect for holiday homes or when you’re away, the self-watering system ensures plants stay hydrated without daily care.
  • Multi-Purpose Use: Ideal for balconies, terraces, greenhouses, and other growing spaces.

Compatible with:

Whether you are growing vegetables, herbs, or flowers, the Biolan Self-Watering Box simplifies plant care while maintaining an optimal growing environment. Ideal for summer vacations or busy daily routines, it offers effortless, clean, and sustainable cultivation.

To effectively use the Biolan Self-Watering Box with a grow bag, follow these steps:

    1. Prepare the Wicking Tubes:
      • Insert the empty wicking tubes (3 pieces) into the designated slots on the Self-Watering Box.
    2. Position the Grow Bag:
      • Place the grow bag, such as the Biolan Grow Bag or Herb Sac, on top of the Self-Watering Box.
    3. Cut Openings and Insert Wicking Tubes:
      • Cut the planting holes in the top of the bag. Through these holes, make a slit in the bottom of the bag at each wicking tube location. Open the slits and push the top end of each wicking tube through the corresponding incision so that it extends into the grow bag.
    4. Fill Wicking Tubes with Growing Medium:
      • Through the planting holes in the grow bag, ensure that the wicking tubes are tightly packed with the growing medium to facilitate capillary action.
    5. Plant Your Seedlings:
      • Plant your seedlings into planting holes.
    6. Initial Watering:
      • At the time of planting, water the base of each seedling from above to help them establish roots.
      • For the first two weeks, monitor the moisture level of the growing medium and water from above as needed to ensure proper root development.
    7. Monitor Water Levels:
      • Use the float indicator in the fill tube to check the water level in the reservoir.
      • Refill the reservoir as necessary, ensuring it never runs completely dry.
      • A full reservoir typically provides sufficient water for plants for at least a week, depending on plant size and environmental conditions.

By following these steps, your plants will benefit from consistent moisture through capillary action, promoting healthy growth with minimal maintenance.
