The Biolan Thermo Composter 220 Eco is ideal for households of 1–6 people looking for an efficient, odorless way to turn kitchen and toilet waste into high-quality compost — all year round and without the mess or the wait.

It simplifies your composting routine. And here’s why:

  • It offers an odor-free experience
  • It protects against rats and other intruders
  • It is easy to use, clean, and maintain – no messy piles or complex setups
  • It produces rich, natural compost for your garden

Thanks to its advanced insulation in the body, bottom, and lid, and a patented two-layer ventilation system, the 220 Eco supports efficient hot composting all year round significantly speeding up decomposition compared to traditional composters that can be slow and temperature-dependent.

The Biolan Thermo Composter 220 Eco rapidly breaks down waste — and in just 6–8 weeks, you can enjoy semi-mature compost perfect for enriching garden soil.

Its sealed design ensures composting stays odor-free. The tight-fitting lid and optimized airflow keep oxygen circulating through the compost mass while containing smells.

Concerned about pests? The durable structure, lockable lid, and secure base provide reliable protection against rats, rodents, birds, and other intruders — ensuring safe, hygienic composting.

Daily use is simple: just add waste, top up with Biolan Bulking Material, and let nature do the rest.

Composting basics: what every compost needs

Composting with the Biolan Thermo Composter 220 Eco is not only clean and efficient — it also helps you save money and reduce your environmental impact.

Cost Savings: By reducing the amount of kitchen and toilet waste that ends up in your household bin, you can extend the time between waste collections. In many areas, this can help lower waste management fees — especially when charges are based on volume or pickup frequency.

Compost smarter — choose the Biolan Thermo Composter 220 Eco for cleaner, faster composting and better results.

  1. Selecting the Location:
    • Place the composter on a firm, level surface where water will not gather. Ensure direct contact with the ground for seep liquid absorption.
  2. Filling the Composter:
    • Empty your biowaste bin into the composter. If using biodegradable bags, empty the waste from the bag and place the bag in the composter separately.
    • Cover the waste with Biolan Bulking Material, using approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the waste volume. Add more if the waste is particularly wet.
    • Add waste several times a week, especially during cold seasons, to maintain the composting process.
  3. Adjusting Air Inlet and Outlet:
    • Use the built-in thermometer to monitor the temperature.
    • Adjust the air inlet valve to 100 if the composter’s temperature is higher than the outside air.
    • During warm seasons, keep the air inlet valve fully open, and during cold seasons, keep it almost closed.
  4. Mixing the Compost:
    • Use the Compost Mixer to mix the top 20-30 cm of the compost layer. Mixing isn’t necessary after every waste addition but helps if done regularly.
  5. Emptying the Composter:
    • Empty the composter when it’s nearly full. In winter, empty small amounts at a time; in summer, you can empty up to half of the content.
    • Open the emptying door and use a spade to remove the compost. Clean the edges of the emptying door and the liquid separator plate.
    • Push down the compost from the top using the Compostmixer, being careful not to break the air channel.

Start composting with the Biolan Thermo Composter 220 Eco and enjoy the benefits of reduced waste, cost savings, and a greener garden.
