  1. Selecting the Location:
    • Place the composter on a firm, level surface where water will not gather. Ensure direct contact with the ground for seep liquid absorption.
  2. Filling the Composter:
    • Empty your biowaste bin into the composter. If using biodegradable bags, empty the waste from the bag and place the bag in the composter separately.
    • Cover the waste with Biolan Bulking Material, using approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the waste volume. Add more if the waste is particularly wet.
    • Add waste several times a week, especially during cold seasons, to maintain the composting process.
  3. Adjusting Air Inlet and Outlet:
    • Use the built-in thermometer to monitor the temperature.
    • Adjust the air inlet valve to 100 if the composter’s temperature is higher than the outside air.
    • During warm seasons, keep the air inlet valve fully open, and during cold seasons, keep it almost closed.
  4. Mixing the Compost:
    • Use the Compost Mixer to mix the top 20-30 cm of the compost layer. Mixing isn’t necessary after every waste addition but helps if done regularly.
  5. Emptying the Composter:
    • Empty the composter when it’s nearly full. In winter, empty small amounts at a time; in summer, you can empty up to half of the content.
    • Open the emptying door and use a spade to remove the compost. Clean the edges of the emptying door and the liquid separator plate.
    • Push down the compost from the top using the Compostmixer, being careful not to break the air channel.

Start composting with the Biolan Thermo Composter 220 Eco and enjoy the benefits of reduced waste, cost savings, and a greener garden.
